It's Day 1 of the 2026 Fall Fundraiser, "The Harvest is Abundant," and Bo Bonner and Janelle Minns are back in the studio for the 3 p.m. hour. Six people answered the call in the previous hour, and the goal is twelve every hour: twelve neighbors committing $25 a month for the next year to keep Catholic radio rolling. $18,000 raised so far.
IN THIS EPISODE
- Twenty-one years of Iowa Catholic Radio. The station began on the Feast of the Holy Archangels and is now in year 22. Janelle shares how it grew from one tower to eight, plus the ICR app.
- Brian Gonzalez, Innervisions Healthcare. The clinic next door once called ICR's current studio home. Brian tells how two nurses joined his team after hearing about the opening on Iowa Catholic Radio, and why donors want to see real impact.
- Joe Stopulos, host of the Man Up show. How a self-described skeptic ("Nobody listens to Catholic radio") became a host, why a week and a half of daily Rosary has been a joy, and why his life feels better when he fills it with Catholic media.
- The easiest way to give. Waiting in the car line? Text GIVE to 515-223-1150. No busy phone lines, and you finish on your own time.
- Coming up in the 4 p.m. hour: a donor has stepped forward to five-times match that hour. Get ready to text!
- ICR out and about: Christ Our Life last weekend, the Iowa State Fair, and the Men's Stag.
